1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Stratos Research ("Stratos", "we", "us", or "our"), including our algorithmic trading platform, AI agents, and backtesting engine, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services. By creating an account or signing up for the service, you implicitly agree to these terms.

2. Description of Service

Stratos is an algorithmic strategy research platform. We provide tools for users to build, backtest, and statistically analyze trading strategies using historical market data. Stratos is a research and analytics tool, not a broker or financial advisor.

3. Not Financial Advice & Hypothetical Performance

Stratos Research is NOT a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or financial institution. The information, tools, and analysis provided by Stratos are for educational and research purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice.

CFTC RULE 4.41 DISCLAIMER: HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN INHERENT LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. ALSO, SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT ACTUALLY BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDER- OR OVER-COMPENSATED FOR THE IMPACT, IF ANY, OF CERTAIN MARKET FACTORS, SUCH AS LACK OF LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS IN GENERAL ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS BEING MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFITS OR LOSSES SIMILAR TO THOSE SHOWN.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for any activities or actions under your account. Stratos reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these terms.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the platform for illegal, fraudulent, or manipulative trading activities.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the ATLAS engine or Orbit AI.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, or row-level security policies.
  • Use automated scripts (other than approved API clients) to excessively scrape or overload our servers.

6. Intellectual Property

Platform IP: The Stratos platform, ATLAS engine, Orbit AI architecture, branding, and all underlying software are the exclusive property of Stratos Research.

User IP: You retain full ownership of the trading strategies, logic, and configurations you create on the platform. Stratos does not claim ownership of your alpha. We only store this data to provide the service to you.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STRATOS RESEARCH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO STRATOS EXPERIENCING THE CLAIM IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE HISTORICAL DATA IS 100% ACCURATE OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Georgia.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after changes constitute acceptance of the new Terms.
